Collection: Pyrolytic Carbon Films
CVD-based pyrolytic carbon films are robust, highly stable thin films characterized by low electrical resistance, chemical inertness, and excellent thermal durability, and are inherently binder-free and additive-free for clean, reliable performance. Unlike graphene, pyrolytic carbon exhibits a turbostratic structure and exists at a microscale, resulting in distinct electrical and mechanical behavior suited for different applications. Using our proprietary CVD process, we enable transfer-free, direct deposition of uniform pyrolytic carbon coatings on a range of substrates, including quartz, alumina-based ceramics, and silicon, overcoming the limitations of traditional CVD methods that rely on catalytic metal substrates. These films are well-suited for applications requiring durability, stability, and consistent electrical performance in demanding environments.
